About Sarah
As a mother and health care provider I understand the significant change that mothers and families experience with the birth of a child. My goal is to assist families through this transition while supporting each family member.
I am a midwife, postpartum doula, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I have years of experience supporting families as they transition into their new roles.
I started caring for families as a nanny when I when I was a teenager. I then attended midwifery school and practiced with my mentor in New Hampshire. Upon moving back to Massachusetts, I began working with families as a post partum doula and became certified as a lactation counselor while working with breastfeeding mothers through the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Springfield. In 2009 I received a Bachelor of Science in Maternal Child Health with a concentration in Lactation Consulting and became certified as an IBCLC. I continue to educate and support mothers as a peer counselor with the WIC program as well as supporting families as a doula and midwife.
